4/10
Informr score
The HTC Raider 4G currently has an Informr score of 4 out of 10. This score is based on our evaluation of 8 sources including reviews from users and the web's most trusted critics.

The HTC Raider 4G is an Android smartphone which sports a massive 4.5 inch qHD screen and even surpasses the iPhone 4S in sheer speed due to its 1.5GHz dual core processor and 1GB of RAM. The phone runs Android Gingerbread paired with HTC Sense 3.0, which is a very highly regarded user interface. This makes using the phone a breeze even for someone who has never picked up an Android phone before.

The 4G LTE speeds are in a class of their own. If the network allows, the HTC Raider can achieve downstream / upstream speeds of 100Mbps and 50Mbps, respectively. This is faster than most home broadband internet services and would allow even the largest files and programs to download nearly instantly. The phone also includes an eight megapixel camera that is very high quality, matching the iPhone 4S and Samsung Galaxy S II in image quality, even in low light. The camera also focuses extremely quickly so you can be sure that you will never miss that important shot.

Some users will not like the size of the screen though. 4.5 inches is very large and many find it to be too big to fit in a pocket or purse. Also, the battery life on the HTC Raider is not that great either. You should plan on needing your charger if you are away from home most of the day. Battery life can be improved if needed by turning off the 4G LTE signal, though this will make downloading files much slower. A good rule of thumb is to leave the 4G LTE off until you need it.

Need to Know: HTC Raider 4G

1. Screen is very large and high quality. (The Good)

2. 1.5GHz processor rivals the iPhone 4S in speed. (The Good)

3. Large screen can make it hard to fit phone in a small pocket. (The Bad)

4. Battery life is average at best. (The Bad)

The Raider is likely the first of many LTE offerings by HTC. In this case, it is the first LTE device on the market, and good thing too, since Samsung and LG will be competing very soon. Besides LTE, the Raider is a capable beast, a monolithic artifact outdated before its time. Its tapered desig...

Love the look and big screen easy to use but 3 days in and I loose phone signal twice . It may be the sim cause I am in LTE area but not happy with drop calls. Otherwise great phone
