To start this review off I would like to give myself a little bit of reviewing credit. I have owned many phones ranging from Motorola, Samsung, Nokia, LG just to name a few. I LOVE THIS PHONE. From the minute I picked up its extremely small, Lightweight frame, and big bright graphic screen i was in love. Cosmetics are awesome. Very hard shell on the outside. I have dropped it on concrete several times and hardly even a scratch. This is honestly the best phone I have ever owned. Pros: Small!! Full of features!! Great reception, Sync capable, Bluetooth, inferred, USB connection, loud speakers, Business or for pleasure this phone is Great! When talking on the phone people look twice! Highly recommended. Cons: Maybe price for some, hard to find sometimes, sometimes the phone glitches and a reboot is necessary.Start up is very slow but with all the programs to run it's Understandable and forgivable. Pro: E-mail/Internet, Long Battery Life, Best of phone based PDA's, Customizable, Windows Mobile, ActiveSync Con: No flash for camera, On board memory minimal, Poor memory management on low battery I've been using this phone for a year and I'm still finding capabilities I never knew it had. This is the best of the phone based PDA's I've used. Knowing that I primarily use these devices as a phone, a straight PDA isn't really practical for me. Still, this phone brings all the best qualities of a PDA (contacts, calendar, email, etc.) into an easy to use and accessible format. Not only that, it doesn't have an annoying lapel. The screen is formidable, allowing beautiful viewing of images and pictures. Scrollbar with 5 functions makes things easy. Camera is better than most camera phones, giving 640x480 resolution, although there is no flash. ActiveSync allows quick and efficient syncronizations with Outlook. Push to use camera and voice recorder. Also allows customizable shortcut keys to any function or contact. Long battery life allows for plenty of talking or music playback without sucking it dry. Less

Pro: Small, lightweight, BIG screen! Runs Windows Mobile 2003SE, which is a lot of fun, and extremely versatile! Mini-SD Card expandable memory. Bluetooth. LED flasher to notify of status. Con: Somewhat short battery life (I have to charge every 2-3 days, which is actually not untypical) D-Pad is a rocker -- so pushing left & right doesn't feel natural, and pushing enter (rocker in) takes some practice. No MegaPixel camera Can't turn the LED off (though there is software to significantly increase its delay available) Because it's a program in W2003SE, the camera takes about 5-10 sec to start up. Using experience: 2 months I absolutely love this phone! Definitely a 'smart' phone, and way better than my old LG C2000 (a 'standard' phone). The call signal is great, the phone is pretty easy to use (I'm a computer person, myself. Computer-illiterate people probably won't like it), and there are LOTs of options due to W2003SE. I currently have a 1GB Mini-SD card installed, and people are absolutely amazed when they see it playing The Matrix movie, running Zelda on a freeware NES emulator I found, and even playing First-Person Shooters like Wolfenstein 3D or Doom! I also purchased the JAVOedge skin, which is a silicon skin to keep it from slipping (since there's no place to attach a lanyard). I keep getting compliments on it -- nobody's seen anything like it before ^_^ The only things I would change, if I could, would be to increase the camera resolution from 640x480 (image) and 176x144 (video) to at least 1.3MP, and make it able to 'feel' more than one keypress at a time (makes playing FPS or action games a bit hard). Overall, I am really happy with this phone, and plan to keep it for a good long time. Less

Great Phone

I just picked up the 5600 and I love it. I don't use the email but it is great to sync with outlook and put an important email on the phone. It's small and has some great features and I like it alot.

Excellent Phone!

from Amazon
I've had it for 6 months and I am glad I bought it. Excellent features. Flawless syncronization. If you will use it for a lot of emailing I recommend getting a portable bluetooth keyboard. For normal use T9 is sufficient.

MDs beware...poor software options, worse reception

Love the size and style of this phone, but if you are an MD, go back to PocketPC or Palm. There is simply no medical software worth having that uses this platform. I even contacted several publishers of the 'basic' medical software and they had no plans to make their products adaptable. I also have a candybar el cheapo cell phone [doesn't even have a camera] that I use at home with the same carrier and the reception is remarkably better. I'm switching to Treo. Less

Love it

I love the ability this phone has of synching with Outlook. Because of this, I no longer need a PDA. It is very small for such a powerful phone, easily fitting in a pocket or purse. The screen is large enough to read easily and shows nice brilliant color (except in bright daylight). The internet, email and media player features are fantastic. The only thing this phone is missing is a QWERTY keyboard. It is awkward and slow using the number keypad to enter info, send emails and messages. With a QWERTY keyboard, I would rate this phone a 10. Less

This is simply the best mobile phone i have ever used in my life. The battery life is incredible. The windows operating system is great and allows me to sync with my office programs. The extra memory slot is an added bonus. The phone has been operating without glitch. The address book is superbly designed and easy to get to. A few things that could be improved in future versions: 1. bluetooth functionality could be made more accessibly. Now, you have to fish around the menus to find it. 2. The keys could be flatter like in the motorola models. 3. The camera and video could have better resolution/lens quality (I don't know the right terminology here) Less

I love this phone!

I guess I'm a gadget-a-holic! This phone is great. My son is getting tired of me saying I LOVE my phone! Anyway, my cons are: "joypad" is a misnomer - more like "frustration-pad". Boot-up time is really long, but then I have tons of apps loaded. Camera isn't great. Pros: I have had no problems...More
