If you think that the Lenovo IdeaTab S2109 is just another Android tablet, well, you’re right. After all, it comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed, and runs on a mildly outdated yet still quite capable ARM Cortex A9 processor with 1GB of RAM. It comes in 8GB, 16GB, and 32GB configurations, and can easily give you up to 10 hours of battery life per charge. With its 9.7-inch 1024x768 pixel resolution touchscreen display, it weighs in at just a little less than 600 grams. What’s most interesting about it perhaps is the fact that you can buy it in any color you like, as long as it’s black.
The Lenovo IdeaTab S2109’s other hardware features include a front-facing 1-megapixel camera, built-in 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS with A-GPS. As you can imagine, these features would go quite well with the built-in software and all of the aftermarket apps that can be downloaded from the Google Play store. You could download an e-book reader app and turn it into a dedicated digital book reading device. Or perhaps get some of the latest games and play them online with your friends (all four of them, sure). Maybe you could even use it as your main device for multimedia consumption, just to watch movies, play music, or see picture slideshows on. Web browsing works fine on the built-in browser, too.
Whichever direction you decide to go in with the Lenovo IdeaTab S2109, you’re sure to have a fun-filled digital time with the help of Google’s electronically-powered green little robots. You have to actually decide to buy the Lenovo IdeaTab S2109 first, though. Otherwise you might end up with a different model that has superior hardware and software on it instead.

- Jeffrey Van Camp, Digital TrendsThe Lenovo IdeaTab S2109 seems like a good tablet when you first open the box, but the moment you begin to hold and use it, the problems start stacking up. It’s entirely usable and functional, but for $300 to $400, you can do better. It’s current price is $311.20 on Lenovo.com, but stand...
- Grant Hatchimonji, TabletPCReviewThe Lenovo IdeaTab S2109 is an approachable device. It doesn't have any sort of cluttered or clunky interface laid on top of Android, it has appealing design features, and it's very much on the affordable side for a 10-inch tablet. But here's the "but" you've been waiting for: just because it's appr...
- Davey Alba, Laptop Magnull
- Sarah Silbert , EngadgetIts sluggish performance and short battery life dampen our enthusiasm.
- Cory Gunther, SlashGearOverall Lenovo has designed a decent mid-range tablet with ok specs, and a low price. With the iPad 2 being just $399 these days, and powerful quad-core Android tablets being similarly priced we had a hard time giving this a thumbs up of any kind. If you’d like to stay under the $400 mark we&...
