How do I manage items in "other" app storage?

I am getting a message that phone storage is low,and message "not enough storage"when I want to update an app. app storage says 5.88gb/6.07gb.  available 191mb.  apps 1.91 gb

                                                                                                                                       other 3.98gb

how do I access "other" to see whats in there and clear some of it to make more room?

Try this: Install cleaning apps like Clean Master (link). It will show you other files that you can delete. Check those files first before deleting them. Hope that helps.
