The Plantronics Voyager Legend is the kind of device that you might imagine when you think of the term “Bluetooth headset.” It’s big, it has dedicated hardware buttons, and it comes with the usual features necessary for proper hands-free calling: multiple mics for noise cancellation, a rechargeable battery, and of course, built-in Bluetooth connectivity.
In expert reviews, the Voyager Legend is praised for its outstanding performance during phone calls, and Techradar’s Matt Hanson even says it is capable of delivering “professional grade audio” in a Bluetooth headset. That’s definitely something you want to have in such an accessory, since it can greatly improve the quality of phone calls with any phone.
According to Jamie Lendino from PC Magazine, the Voyager Legend is “a refinement and evolution of an award-winning design that just works.” Even if that design happens to be one that might appear uncomfortable at first. In reality, the headset is comfortable to wear, and expert reviewers like Brian Bennett from Cnet agree. He also says it manages to “improve on an already stellar design.” The fact that it offers longer battery life than its predecessor is also a welcome plus.
Overall, the Plantronics Voyager Legend is seen as a high quality Bluetooth headset in every sense of the word, and reviewers seem to concur that it’s worth every cent of its retail price. It also makes our list as one of the best bluetooth headsets.
The Plantronics Voyager Legend UC B235-M isn't really aimed at the mainstream headset market. Instead it's primarily targeted at those who need a headset that they can comfortably wear for longer periods of time during the working day. As a result it's not exactly a thing of beauty to look at, although we can let that pass if it turns out to be ultra comfortable to wear....

The Voyager Legend UC is far from the smallest or most stylish model on the market. But if you need a Bluetooth headset to use for prolonged periods throughout the day, you'll find its comfort, long battery life, ease of use and excellent noise suppression capabilities make it worth the admittedly high asking price.

It might be a bit on the large size, but the Plantronics Voyager Legend is a comfortable and feature-packed headset.

All told, with the Voyager Legend, Plantronics cements its status as one of the top two Bluetooth headset vendors on the market. I've always liked the Voyager series, but its size tends to preclude a large portion of the public from wearing one.
The Legend does what many might have though was impossible, improve on an already stellar design. In fact, the Voyager Legend offers even better call quality, a smaller size, a more comfortable fit, and a longer battery life. It’s still not inconspicuous compared with more minute headsets but if you do a lot of talking all over town and clear sound is your priority, you’ll want to splurge on this excellent mobile accessory....

Adhering to the Bluetooth 3.0 spec, the Voyager Legend features multipoint pairing, meaning you can link it to two devices simultaneously. That said, using the Legend for VoIP calls yielded choppy audio mostly due to my old notebook’s old Bluetooth stack and supporting drivers. The Voyager Legend is also rated at to provide up to 7 hours of talk time and 11 days of standby time.
