With its large capacity and ability to simultaneously charge multiple devices, the Limefuel Blast L130X looks like a force to be reckoned in the USB external battery pack race.
But the question remains: is its performance well worth its price? To come up with a verdict, we scoured reviews from all over the Internet. Here’s what we found:
In terms of power capacity, the Blast L130X holds 13,000 milliampere hours of power – enough to charge the standard smartphone four times over. It also boasts a significantly short charging time. Extended Battery Review noted the Blast L130X “can charge twice as fast as other external batteries on the market.”
Reviewers loved the fact that the Blast L130X remains sleek and compact despite the power it holds. Extended Battery Review describes it as a pack you can “fit into any bags, purse, or pocket.” Top Ten Reviews noted, however, that it’s relatively heavy despite its compact dimensions, but they attributed this as a “direct result of the densely packed battery.”
While performance and aesthetics seem to earn praise from most reviewers the 130X didn’t escape all criticism. One thing reviewers took aim at was the built-in LED flashlight. GadgeTell likens it to a “basic keychain light.” Another area of disappointment - the lack of a low-battery indicator.
These little misses made The Wirecutter conclude that the Limefuel Blast 130X is “like a prototype that was released a bit too early.”
Overall, experts appreciated Limefuel’s L130X for its design, power, and rare capability to charge two smartphones at the same time. It was found to be reasonably priced and solidly built. Good enough for Top Ten Reviews to award it “silver” in their list of top 10 external battery packs.
