Why does the screen light up when receiving text in ZTE Grand X?
When I receive a text message, the whole screen lights up and the message preview is at the top. I don't want the screen to light up. I just want the notification light to blink and notification ringtone.

Try this: Go to Settings > Developer options > uncheck stay awake and disable developer options.
Let me know if that works.
