I am now on my 2nd replacement zte quartz phone for this problem.  I never get any answers as to why it happens, they just replace it.

I had this problem and it was the GPS that was causing it.  Every time I would turn the GPS on it would start to reboot after about 15 to 30 minutes. I called ZTE and their solution was don't use the GPS
