I took the phone back to sears and they told me to contact you. What do I do I bought this phone the end of march 2014 and it has failed completely

You can bring your phone to the store you bought it from to have it fixed. If it's a factory defect, then repair would be cost free. Otherwise, you will be paying for the repair. Let me know which phone model you have so I can also provide you the contact information of the phone manufacturer. Perhaps you would prefer dealing with them directly.
