What should I do with an overheating SD card in my LG Optimus Net?

My phone recently fell on the floor knocking the back cover off and the SD card out of place.

I thought the solution was simply placing the SD card back in and the cover back on. However when I put the SD card in it begins to rise in temperature quite rapidly and the phone does not detect it.

Anyone have any solutions?

Hi Jason. How long have you had the memory card? If it still has warranty, maybe you can return it or get a replacement. But before you do, try using it with another phone. See if it heats up like it does on your Optimus Net. If it doesn't, the problem could be with your phone.
