Long-time Windows tablet maker Fujitsu joins the Android market fray with the Fujitsu Stylistic M532. It’s a sleek rendition of the popular 10-inch tablet form factor, and as such features a 10.1-inch 1280x800 capacitive touchscreen display. Within a few seconds of picking one up, you’ll immediately notice a few quirks to its personality and either reasons to keep it or leave for something else.
The default operating system on the Stylistic M532 is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and you’ll have no trouble running it at all with system specs which include a 1.4GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPU and 1GB of onboard RAM. There’s also 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded with microSD cards in case it ever runs out. That’s just the first few lines of the spec sheet and we’re already off to a good start. Did you know that the M532 is also only 10mm thin? That's 0.39 inches for our American friends and one of the thinnest available 10-inch Android tablets yet.
Despite being thin and weighing just 560 grams (19.8 ounces), this is definitely not a lightweight when it comes to overall features. It has dual-cameras—with an 8MP sensor on the main one at the back—so you’ll be able to put all the available camera apps in Google Play to good use. Plus there’s Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS with A-GPS, and a handy HDMI-out feature.
One tragic flaw of this model is having a microUSB port but lack of support for external USB devices like storage drives or keyboards. For charging, you still have to use the included proprietary charger. With all of that said, the M532 can certainly hold its own in a match of most powerful or best-looking Android tablets. There are a few others like it, but it remains a good choice for those who find that it falls within their budget.

What the Critics Are Saying...
- Kevin Purcell, GottaBeMobileFor people who just want a basic Android tablet, the Fujitsu STYLISTIC M532 might be overkill. It’s a great tablet for both business use and pleasure, but Fujitsu designed the M532 with a harsh environment in mind. The tablet is designed to stand up to more abuse, and that earns a higher price...
- Jamie Stephens, PC ProThere’s nothing wrong with the M532; it’s a fast performer with some useful features and decent software. However, it doesn’t have anything special to put it above the competition.
- Grant Hatchimonji, TabletPCReviewThe Fujitsu Stylistic M532 is a very solid business tablet option, despite being an imperfect device. There are a few flaws that counter some of its greatest strengths, including the way the powerful and otherwise efficient processor randomly gets gummed up every now and then, and how the MIL-STD to...
- David Eitelbach, Laptop Magnull
- Daniel P., PhoneArenaThe Fujitsu Stylistic M532 is the company’s push for a presence into the growing Android tablet universe, and regardless of the claims that there are only so many ways to design a rectangular tablet, it is a looker, and a tough one at that, conforming to military standards of handling.
