Why are my text messages sent on a delay on the HTC Desire 610?

My text messages are on a time delay. When I send a message, the text symbol has a clock on it. I have no idea how this turned on or how to turn it off. Can someone help me?

did you every figure out why, cause my phone is doing the same thing and it's pissing me off.

What messaging app are you using? I suggest opening your message app and exploring it's settings.
