What could be the possible reason for a water-soaked Sony Ericsson T610 not to work?

Hey All,

Recently while I was in the UK I found a Sony Ericsson T-610 sitting in a puddle of water. Other than the fact the phone was soaked it appears undamaged. I have a Sony Ericsson charger that fits, when I plug it in the red light on the phone comes on which I assume is the charge indicator. However after hours and hours of charging the phone simply won't power up. Could it be just the battery? Or is it more likey that the circuit board is blitzed?

Thanks,
Kris

Hi Kris,

It sounds like it may be the phone itself (circuit board), the battery has really little to do when it comes to the indicator light turning on. If it's the battery, it won't even charge (Light won't come on). However I am not 100% certain, it'll be a risk to suspect it being the battery and replacing it, best try to find a used battery from a pawn shop to save you money.
