Does the LG 2000 really have issues receiving phone calls?

Hi! I really need to know...i got my lg 2000 from fido in the mail and was really happy with the phone until my friends started complaining about my rejecting their calls when i was getting no calls in the first place! WITH FULL RECEPTION!!!!!
Turns out that 90% of the time calling my phone the handset won't ring at all while my friends will hear 1 1/2 rings then straight to voicemail!! I talked to fido for about an hour and a half trying to fix the problem and nothing worked. i put my sim back into my old phone which works perfectly and i'm sending the phone back but does this happen on a lot of LG 2000's or if i get a new one should it be ok?!?! HELP!

PS- also if the phone is good and i get a new one is it possible to make the ringtone volume all one level rather than from quiet to loud?!

you have to get it "flashed" at the fido service
the software is s***!
that phone is s*** and it can only download 3 low quality mp3 ring tones
it's TERRIBLE

and every now and then, the phone remains LIT for hours! and when iflip it open, the software reboots. it freezes and refreshes itself
it's a terrible terrible phone

They probably did this when you talked to them at Fido but:

Did you ensure your LG was set to "Americas" in settins and that you did a manual Network Search and chose "Rogers Network" from the list?
That is a common issue at FIdo with LG2000 handsets but if you think it is Network related, call them from a phone other than the one that has the problem so they can diagnose it properly and check the Network for problems.
For the phone, have a Fido Store Tech check the phone itself if it is just that phone with the problem, could just be a defect in the phone that is warrantied by manufacturer longer which then becomes an LG issue.
My LG 5400 you can change the ring volumes, not sure about the 2000 though but you can contact LG at their website and they would know if it's not listed in the Manual for the phone.

:) Good Luck regardless
