Phone is going straight to voicemail. How do I remedy this?

I bought this phone for my mother, and it is going straight to voicemail without ringing. It worked fine for the first couple of months. We have reset, turned on and off, adjusted volume, etc.

Is the phone an iPhone or android? If it’s the latter, I could help you with that. 1. Pull down your phone's Control Center by swiping down from the top of the screen. 2. Check that the Do Not Disturb icon is not enabled. 3. Start the phone app. 4. Block or delete the voicemail number.

Hi Sue. Please contact your carrier regarding the issue. I'm pretty sure it's an issue from their end.
