I am having this problem of updating contacts for last few months with my NOK XL. At times, when ever the phone is switched off and on again, there use to appear a milky white screen with "updating contacts" on the top and a rotating circle just beneath it. I once happen to show the said issue to the service center and the guy there was actually not able to understand what exactly the problem is as he never had been through this issue earlier, rather he suggested (not sure) to update my phone's version which would have costed me probably no lesser than 300 bucks. That way I have been facing the same issue till date and some times it gets pretty hard to locate a contact in the phone to call up. Any suggestions or help invited. Regards.
