Hi all,

Unfortunately nothing can be done to fix issues on moto g4 & +. Lenovo/moto really f*d it up badly. Even if u get a replacement same problem will persist cos the whole product line is faulty. Don't waste ur money to replace battery and stuff cos its not gonna work. So my best advice would be to throw the phone in recycle bin and get some other phone.

If your phone is powering on or off by itself try power cycling the device.

1. Power the phone down.
2. Inspect the battery contacts on the phone and battery. Look for corrosion or any damaged. Check the pins to ensure they are straight and aligned and that none are missing.
3. Inpect the water indicator on the side of the battery. (square white or red tab)  If the water indicator is red, this indicates that the phone may be water damaged.  Water damaged phones can not be repaired.
4. Inspect the power button to ensure it is not stuck in a down position or that it is not damaged
5. Replace the battery. Wait a few minutes and see if the phone powers itself up.

If you continue to experience issues, perform a Factory Data Reset. Performing a Factory Data Reset will clear the phones memory and put the phone back to the original factory default state. Factory Data Reset is a tool used to remove everything that was imported, added or installed on the device. Keep in mind, when using this feature everything is deleted. Nothing stored on the MicroSD will be affected.

To reset your phone to factory settings and erase all the data on your phone,

1. Touch the app tab, in the home screen to open the app menu.
2. Touch Settings
3. Touch SD card & phone storage
4. Touch Master Clear

After resetting the phone, follow the above steps to verify the issue.

I bought it just 2 months ago.

It turns off all by its self. Its not over heated, not charging, happens even when battery is 70% +, the Phone is just reluctant to keep running. At times it turns off 3 to 5 times in just 5 minutes. Turns off on in coming calls. You'll never know the number from which you have received the calls.

Tried formatting multiple times, multiple ways. completed a few battery cycles bla bla bla....

any help is appreciated.

I have purchased Moto G 4 Plus inFebruary and it's been only 2 months but it is having heating issue along with automatic switch off. I regret buying this Phone.. please suggest a way out. 

I am using Moto G4+ ,My phone switched off suddenly while watching videos,playing games etc.  It happens almost 10  -15 times a day. Please provide a solution.

Hi Dan. What were you doing when the phone heated up? Keep in mind that playing games and watching videos heat up the phone fast. I'm thinking you are experiencing some battery issues. I suggest having it checked and tell them about this.
