#1:  Format your microSD card.

  Go to settings; then to 'Storage', then under 'Portable Storage' (it should have the 'brand name' of the microSD card), click and hold down; then format.

#2:  On the same page, 'Storage', on the top, there might be a 'Save Location' line.  Click.  Choose the location you want to save to:  'Phone' ;  'SD card'. 

#3:  You might need to uninstall the apps you want on your microSD card and reinstall.  ALL new things 'saved'  will now be 'saved' to the microSD card.

#4:  Going back to same page, 'Storage', click 'Phone' (it should be above the 'Portable Storage').   Allow your phone time to calculate the information.  In the 'Cached data' section, click, and clear the data.  'This will clear cached data for all apps'.   OK...  The information will recalculate and you will see your new 'available', 'system memory', 'used space' information.  

#5:  You can also see the amount of data is being stored on your microSD card by clicking on 'Portable Storage'
