Is it possible for a Virgin Mobile Canada monthly plan to be put on hold while I'm travelling?

I'm living in Australia for roughly the next 4 months and am wondering if it's possible to put my monthly plan with virgin mobile on hold while I am away, instead of cancelling it all together. The currently monthly rate that I pay is a good rate that is no longer available to newcomers, and I was hoping I could put it on hold rather than end it and then start fresh again with a new, more expensive rate once I return to Canada.
