Why does my Nokia Lumia 520 automatically switch off?
I recently bot a nokia lumia 520... the problem with the phone is that at times it automatically switchess off... whenever the phone is in idle state orr is operated at a faster speed, it suddenly switches off...& then i have to switch it on again... Also, at times it automatically switches off & then starts automatically after lyk 5-10 minutes...or at times i have to remove the battery & insert it back to start it cuz at such times, the power button just doesnt work... can anybody plz help?

thank god I'm not the only one with this issue...it's only taken me a year to do something about it LOL! I had put something under the battery which seems to help but not completely - I will try putting it to the side to see if that stops the battery rattling about.
I've been having all the same problem from god knows when now. My phone goes completely off now evey time it times out, and I have to open and restart. Can't do anything at all with it. Nokia Lumias are officially the worst phones ever!!
I hav lumia 520. My mobile iiself switched off when iam attending the call and it is not restarting and i also removed the battery and kept the battery again inside, and when iam switching it ON it is not starting even though my battery is full . Anybody knows whats the problem is,,,

the paper and battery solutions seems to work for me, need to put the paper between the bat and the outer edge of the compartment (buttons side)
I have a Nokia Lumia 520 and it goes off I find when I bump it lightly it switches itself off and on I took the battery out and placed thin plastic under the connectors and placed the battery back in now its fine its because the battery housing allows the battery to move very slightly making the phone to restart

I've problem with my nokia lumia 520 I cnt use it I can receive only,it says I must try again in 19000 minutes ,after wrong password ,what must I do?
It could be that the battery is loose, causing the loss of power.

EDIT: I just checked the battery and there is a small amount of side to side play with it. I wrapped a small piece of paper to the edge of the battery oposite the contacts to give it a snugger fit. I will see how this goes. Not happy that I have to do this but.....$100. Get what you pay for I guess. Just surprised that it is a Nokia phone that is doing this.

It's looks like a common issue with the Lumia 520. A lot of other users are having the same problem with their units. If your phone is still under warranty, send your phone to Nokia for repair or replacement.
