So... Two people on kijiji, want to sell me their HTC Touch Pro 2, I would like it to be on the telus 3G+ network... I know Telus sells the phone and activates it CDMA when you buy it. Now, of the two phones I want to buy from kijiji, I got both IDMEI #'s and went to the Non-telus handest check site to see what it said, for both, it said they are not compatible on the network.

However, one of the phones is an actual telus purchase and was already activated on telus. So, my question is, is the site saying they are not compatible simply because Telus databases say this phone is a CDMA phone?

Also, I was told by a telus rep that yes, it is made to function on telus CDMA network, however, the rep said that he thinks its possible to use it on the 3G network if I first unlock it and then put a Telus sim card in it, is this true?

And the fact that the site says those two phones are not compatible, is this true?

Thanks to anyone who can help, i really need to change my phone and this is driving me crazy, whats the story on this phone? lol would love peoples opinion on this too... oh, i know there are different models of the TP2, but shouldnt all be compatible with telus... thanks eveyone
