It resolved my issue as well :)

Go to Settings->Apps. Then goto 'All' option. Scroll to find 'Launcher' app. Open 'Launcher' and clear data. This will delete your icon folders including hidden folders containing apps. Once folders get deleted, icons become visible. You will then need to recreate your folders and rearrange icons.

I also faced this issue and it got resolved this way.
