My phone is still new to me so it took a while to remember where the camera settings are. I finally remembered and was able to shut off the shutter sound on my Honor 6X.
When in camera mode, swipe the screen to the left to show the setting options. Set it to Mute. I also scrolled down further to "Volume button function", clicked on that, then selected Shutter. I'm not sure if I needed to do the second step. All I know is that I now have no shutter sound when taking pictures. :-)
Dear All Huawei mobile have no option for mute camara sound .if any other option plz update
Silent camera app if v install also phone getting heat ... no more option for using our own system software camera ?
With huawei honor 6 you just need to open the camera and go to the settings, once in there you'll see "mute" option so you'll just have to turn it on(once it is on the thingy next to the "mute" turns blue)

If you don't want to hear the shutter sound when you take photos, then there are a few things you can try.
Firstly, some countries have laws to force the phone to play these sounds. Assuming you're not in one of these countries, then the first thing you can try is to go to the Camera App - Settings - Shutter Sound - Off.
If that doesn't work, then you can try turning the volume of the phone down or put it in silent mode when taking photos.
The last option is to Root your phone. If you don't know what that means, then it's best not to attempt it unless you have thoroughly read about the process. Once Rooted, go to this folder on your phone: /system/media/audio/ui and rename the camerashutter and/or cameraclick OGG files to something else.
Alternatively, on a rooted phone you can use a Root Browser, to edit /system/csc/feature.xml and set the option to TRUE. Then you should be able to go to Camera App - Settings - Shutter Sound - Off. - See more at: Link

Use Camera360 and in settings there you can switch off the camera sound. I use honor 6 and have faced the same issue.
That's odd, most android phones I tried, I found a way to turn it off either inside the settings of camera or by simply putting the phone to silent mode.
Okay, let's resort to 3rd party apps.
If your phone is not rooted try using an app named Camera Mute Version 1.5 (link)
If your phone is rooted try Ultimate Sound Control (link) and Silent Camera (link) from the Google Play store.
Please let me know which works for you guys. :)
While in camera mode, press menu key (right soft touch key) > Check Settings for options to turn shutter sound off.
