How to stop the ZTE Valet from chirping every so often?

just bought the zte valet from tracfone and it makes a noise every once in awhile around the clock

I cannot retrieve texts.Can anyone help?

Try this, go to Settings-->Touch the word "Wifi"-->turn Wifi ON-->touch the Menu button in the lower right corner-->Advanced-->uncheck the Network notification box.
