From the app drawer, tap and hold the the camera icon and drag it to your home screen. To add a widget to your home screen, tap and hold on the empty space of your home screen. Options should appear. You should see options for Apps, Widgets, Shortcuts, and Wallpaper. Tap on Widgets and scroll through your selection.
