I beleave it is helpfull if your vehicle you are driving does not have bluetooth but thats if your vehicle predates newer ones or if its at least 5 years or older new vehicles come with it as a standard device based on trim level most manufactors install them in all there vehicles now that the government is making it mandatory that if be installed
