Ahh I get what you're saying. Found this, maybe this'll work?

1. At the very beginning turn off the device by holding the Power key for a few moments.
2. After that connect USB cable with PC or laptop.
3. Release this key when Fastboot Mode appears.

Let me know if that works.

Would it be more understanding for me to say fastboot mode? You see Tracphone will not

 Allow the bootloader on thier phones to be unlocked and what better way to prohibit that then tweak something a lil bit or just do away with the ability to put the phone in download /fastboot mode I also have an LG rebel 4. Lgs are some of the easiest phones to put in download/fastboot mode. You are on the right track Carl, however it did not work

Hmm.. I think I get it. Try this:

1. Power off your smartphone completely by holding Power button.
2. Next, press and hold Volume Down, Home and Power buttons at the same time.
3. Release the buttons when the Warning alert screen is displayed on your phone.
4. Now, press Volume Up to load Download Mode.
