How to disable voice announcement when getting a text on the LG Cosmos 3?
Got new phone...can't figure out how to make it stop saying "new text msg from..." Ewwww. Hate it !!! Have tried EVERYTHING to stop it. =((

The Carl P...did what you suggested, and "caller id readout" was indeed what had been selected as the option. So I'll have to wait til next text to see if it worked...but since I selected ring only, it should. So thank you for your response, and hopefully I won't have have to deal with that annoying voice thing anymore !!
