Is it possible to switch your handset's frequency band by means of firmware change?
Can you somehow switch your band(hz) by firmware? If not is it possible any other way?

bands are set by the phone..its in the hardware and does relate to the software. Depending on your handset, some software/firmware upgrades will help give another band or an "alternative" band, but it will NOT be stable. It's not recommended to do so unless you really have to or know what you are doing. IT does in a way trick the hardware..forcing it to do something it's not made for.
