Is it possible to not let text message show in notification bar on the ZTE Majesty?

CAN YOU SET IT TO WHERE YOUR TEXT WILL NOT APPEAR ACROSS THE TOP OF THE STATUS BAR?

Go to Settings > Apps > under All, look for Messaging > uncheck Show notifications.
