How to capitalize letters mid sentence on the Alcatel One Touch 10.16G?

Headline says it all really. I've found out where the punctuation is hidden but so far the capital letters have eluded me. Capitals at the start of sentences are automatic but I'm being forced to write like a teenager by having to use "i'm" and " Hi dave" etc. Thanks for any help.

Select “Options” then “ABC” (not smart ABC) when you start a new sentence, after terminating typing with a period, question mark, or such you will go back to caps. Watch the information  bar at top, it shows the status, Abc, or abc. If you want a caps letter without starting a new sentence, press the * key, the status bar will change to Abc, the next letter will be Caps.

Thank you, Carl P. I was wondering how to change to capital letters on the Alcatel Go Flip and, as you suggest, the # key seems to be the way. I press # once and I can type capital letters, press # again and it switches to numbers, press # once more and now letters are back to lowercase.

Hi Carl, the # key is the key for white space. The phone is very basic and I've come to the conclusion that expected way is either to not use capitals, or you have to switch the text entry to capitals from a menu, type one letter, then switch the text entry back to normal from the menu again. In fact I've come to the conclusion that the quickest way is to type a period, white space, and then the next letter will be auto-capitalized as it detects a new sentence. Then go back and delete the white space and the period. A bit of a drag but it is a really cheap basic phone.

Hi there davekeys. Try pressing # key once and then enter a letter. Let me know if it is capitalized.
