I've finally found a demo. The iPhone supports Google Maps, it has the best mobile web browser in Safari, it's a great multitasking phone and an iPod with a 2.0 MP camera to boot. There's no document viewer (so you still need a BlackBerry), but while watching this demo, I couldn't think of anything else I'd want that's not already in this phone.

The first iPhones will be available from Cingular in June. As for BlackBerry, RIM shares dropped 7.7%. One area where BlackBerry and other smartphones have the edge over Apple's iPhone is 3G (high-speed data). Brandon Praddock is emphatic: EDGE is old technology, three years too old. Other sober-seeming responses here.
