Opera Mini 5 Beta now Available for touchscreen, non-touchscreen phones

Love to browse the internet on your mobile phone? Well, then you might be interested to know that Opera Mini 5 has just hit the scene and is now ready for public use.

It’s still a beta version though, but it’s roadworthy enough to get the nod of approval for it to be offered up for download already. This latest Opera Mini browser is compatible with both touchscreen and non-touchscreen phones so you won’t feel alienated if you don’t own one or the other. Apart from improved performance, it also now comes with tabbed browsing as well as a password manager, speed dial and skins for that custom look. If you don’t own a BlackBerry, you do need to have a Java ME enabled phone to try this out, but as most phones nowadays already come with this feature, this shouldn’t be much of an issue.
