One can say that Rogers has a pretty good relationship with Nokia as most of the Finnish company’s NAM releases have managed to land on the said carrier in Canada. With that being the case, it doesn’t come as a surprise that the Nokia 6790 Surge will also be debuting on Rogers as well.

The image above is evidence of this where some of Rogers’ current offerings are showcased alongside the yet-to-be-released Surge. The Nokia 6790 Surge, for those not familiar with it, is a slider that comes with a 2.4-inch display, 2-megapixel camera, full QWERTY keypad, Bluetooth, GPS, 2.5mm headphone jack, supports up to 16GB microSD card capacities, and runs on the Symbian S60 FP2 operating system. It’s definitely a messaging phone, but it’s not exactly a smartphone. It’s already available on AT&T in the US, but has yet to cross the border.
We’re not sure when it will officially hit the market, but when it does, it should retail for $89.99 on a 3-year contract or $279.99 outright purchase. So, any interested Canadians out there giddy over this latest bit of news?
