Remember the Samsung Link that’s supposedly exclusive to Bell? Well, forget that whole exclusivity clause as Virgin Mobile has beaten them to the punch and officially launched the Link in Canada already.

Apart from providing us with a better picture of Samsung’s latest QWERTY-equipped handset, they’ve also made available its price across the various contract terms: $29.99 for 3-years, $49.99 for 2-years, and $99.99 for a single year and outright/prepaid purchase. Staying true to prior reports, the Samsung Link also features a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, web surfing and email support, MP3 player, and a maximum storage capacity of 16GB. At its price point, that’s not such a bad deal. For more info on Virgin Mobile’s Samsung Link offer, you can be head on over here.
Now that Virgin Mobile has proudly unleashed their Samsung Link offer, maybe Bell would like to rethink their battle plan and release theirs ahead of its purported July 30th debut date.

UPDATE: It’s now available on Bell as well. More info here.

ahhh isn’t Virgin a division of Bell – therefore moot point
True, but Bell subscribers still won’t be able to get it from Bell.

Bell Mobility Acquires Full Ownership of Virgin Mobile Canada
Thursday May 7, 2009
Today is an exciting day for Virgin Mobile Canada. We’ve just announced that Bell Mobility has entered into an agreement to acquire the 50% interest in Virgin Mobile Canada not already owned by Bell.
As a Virgin Mobile customer, this will not affect your service. You will continue to enjoy the incredible customer experience we offer on our great big network.
Virgin Mobile will continue to operate as a separate company and you can still count on us being the Virgin Mobile you’ve come to know and love.
