BlackBerry Desktop Manager for Mac due in September

For the most part, Mac users only had the BlackBerry Media Sync to play around with while others (read: Windows users) are already enjoying the full Desktop Manager experience. However, that’s all about to change as it appears that RIM is now ready to roll out a full Mac-compatible Desktop Manager sooner than later.

The new Desktop Manager supports Mac OS 10.5.5 and higher is scheduled be released sometime in September. We’re not sure exactly when in September, but once it’s out, it will finally give Mac users out there the ability to easily add/remove apps, create/restore backups, update their firmware, sync with iTunes, and manage multiple BlackBerry devices all in one app. Needless to say, this latest version of Desktop Manager will bring a whole new world of convenience for BlackBerry owning Mac users across the globe.

Sure, we would have wanted it to be already available for download today, but a month and a half of waiting isn’t at all that bad, and at least this gives us something relatively new to look forward to come September. If you want more info and be updated on its development, you can head on over here and sign up to be part of their mailing list.
