I recently sent an SMS to the wrong person. It wasn’t an important message, but a tad embarrassing. It’s too bad that Samsung’s new patent that’ll allow you to delete your own SMS messages wasn’t around.
Samsung has recently gotten a European patent on “Mobile phone capable of deleting sent short message stored in receiver’s mobile phone and method of transmitting and deleting short message using the same.” They need to work on their brevity, but this function could save your bacon in a hundred ways.
This functionality could have saved Nokia’s butt when they mistakenly sent out text messages that disabled hundreds of people’s phones. I’m glad to know that Samsung’s got my back.
