It was in October last year when talk of a new BlackBerry Storm started to surface, and true enough, we got a glimpse of what it will look like last May.

Now, thank to the crafty guys at BGR, we’ve now got a set of specs for the BlackBerry Storm 2. Dubbed as the BlackBerry 9550, the Storm 2 comes with a 360×480 pixel resolution capacitive touchscreen display, 3.2-megapixel camera, quad-band GSM/EDGE, CDMA 1xRTT/EVDO Rev. A, HSDPA (2100MHz) connectivity, WiFi, and runs on OS 5.0. The inclusion of WiFi is certainly most welcome, but we were hoping for a lot more new features in this latest iteration of the Storm than just 802.11b/g connectivity. As far as its release is concerned, a definite date wasn’t given though it is expected to hit the market before 2009 comes to a close.
Meanwhile, for those of you on Rogers looking forward to the BlackBerry 9520 Storm mentioned in the leaked Rogers 2009 line-up, here’s some good news for you. It was disclosed in the same report that it will be released pretty soon. We’re not exactly sure if the 3G bands will be the only thing different between the BlackBerry 9520 and 9550, but chances are this will mostly like be the scenario.
That’s about it for now, but do check back soon as we’ll certainly have the freshest updates on both the BlackBerry 9550 Storm 2 and BlackBerry 9520 Storm once more info is available.

Well what is the difference between the blackberry 9520 storm and the 9550 storm. And please in easy english because I do not understand the Scientific English.
Because I want to buy the new storm, and i would like to know if I have to wait or anything that constitutes the difference.
Thanks,
