It’s been a while since we used the terms LG and Android in the same sentence, but we’re certainly happy to hear that LG is getting somewhere with their Android aspirations.

It was last year when LG expressed their intent on releasing an Android phone this 2009. However, with almost half of the year gone by already, we have yet to hear or even seen a prototype of any LG branded Android phone. Well, now they’re reporting that they plan to release not only one, but 3 Android phones before the year ends. They’re still tight lipped at the moment as to its possible specs, and rightfully so since, apparently, they’re undecided as to which particular segment of the market they want to target – the high-end, middle or entry-level.
They do, however, maintain that their first model will be out sometime in Q3 or, at the latest, the early part of Q4. Nonetheless, this latest news should serve as an assurance they haven’t given up on their plans on adopting the Android platform into their product line-up, and they are, in fact hard at work at it.
