Sony Ericsson Idou 12.1-megapixel phone renamed as Satio, due in Q4

We’ve got an update for you guys out waiting on more news regarding the Sony Ericsson Idou 12.1-megapixel monster camera phone.

It has now been renamed as the Satio and its availability has been re-confirmed to be happening in Q4 in select markets. Prior rumors point to an October release, and we’re sticking to that month in lieu of any confirmation from Sony Ericsson’s part. As for its operating system, it was also disclosed to be running the S60 5th edition platform (read: Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, N97, and Omnia HD). We’re not completely sure if this is really the grand mobile operating system the Symbian Foundation has been working on for the past couple months, but for now, this is what’s confirmed to be on-board the Sony Ericsson Satio.

Its price, unfortunately, still isn’t known, but we’re looking forward to some new leaks and additional info in the coming months to come heading to October.
