Samsung is definitely no stranger to AMOLED technology with such products as the Omnia HD and Impression just to name a few of their latest handsets showcasing this latest display.
Now, here’s their latest AMOLED-equipped phone that’s geared towards the more feminine group of the market, the Samsung S5050 slider. It boasts of a 2.2-inch AMOLED QVGA 16M color display, 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera, stereo Bluetooth, FM radio with RDS, and microSDHC support. It’s clad in a black and pink combination that will surely be appealing for the ladies. There’s no WiFi or HSDPA connectivity on this baby, but with a retail price of just 4,500 Czech crowns or $236 in US dollars before any subsidies, we’re not completely surprised with the lack of the said connectivity features.
It’s supposedly debuting this summer, but we haven’t heard of any carrier picking this one up to be part of their summer line-up. With an AMOLED display, 3.2-megapixel autofocus camera, and a very reasonable price, we’re definitely keeping an eye out for this one.
