Samsung i637 Jack officially Announced on AT&T

Samsung USA has just announced the latest addition to their BlackJack family, the Samsung i637 Jack.

This latest smartphone in the impressive BlackJack line features a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 3.2-megapixel camera, quad-band GSM, dual-band UMTS/HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, WiFi 802.11b/g, aGPS with AT&T Navigator, 256MB RAM, and microSD card support of up to 16GB capacity. It still runs on Windows Mobile 6.1, but is upgradeable to Windows Mobile 6.5 once it’s released. The Samsung i637 certainly looks good, but what’s even more impressive is its introductory price. It’s scheduled to go on retail starting May 19 on AT&T for just $100 (after a $100 mail-in rebate) on a 2-year contract.

With feature-packed and affordable products such as this, it’s no wonder Samsung is slowly creeping up on Nokia in the standings.

No word yet if and when it will debut in Canada, but it would be a crying shame if it didn’t.
