Motorola’s got a new handset for all you fitness buffs out there, and it’s the Moto W7 Active Edition.

This slider comes with a 2.2-inch QVGA 262K color display, 2-megapixel camera, secondary front-facing VGA camera, stereo Bluetooth, UMTS (850/1900, 850/2100 or 2100) connectivity, FM radio, 30MB internal memory, and microSDHC card slot with support of up to 8GB in capacity.
What makes this handset unique is that it also features a Personal Trainer app, built-in step pedometer, and accelerometer for gesture controls to silence incoming calls, pause music or even activate the music player, making it an ideal accessory when working out. It’ll be available in Alpine White and Licorice.
Sadly though, it won’t become available in the European and North American market and will only be launched in Asia and Latin America in Q2. It’s really a shame, but we’re more than ready to forgive them in lieu of an Android phone. Full press release can be found here.
