AT&T is apparently cooking up something more to entice customers in getting the new iPhone as opposed to Sprint’s Palm Pre. From what we hear, AT&T will offer a new cheaper plan to bundle with the new iPhone. From the current minimum $69.99 plan, rumor is that they’re coming out with a cheaper $59.99 plan you’d have to sign-up for in order to get the subsidized iPhone. Based on a report by The Street, AT&T will roll out this new plan in time with the launching of the new iPhone.

We’re still not sure what’s included in this more affordable voice and data plan, but this will certainly give consumers something to think about once the new iPhone and Palm Pre are both released in June. Will Rogers also follow suit in Canada to rival Bell? We’re hoping so, but our gut is telling is that it won’t likely happen.
