The HTC G2 has already been leaked in the past, but since then, we haven’t received any news regarding its eventual release on T-Mobile in the US.

What we did manage to find out, though, was that it will be known as the T-Mobile myTouch 3G once it gets released. This bit of new is courtesy of TmoNews who got a hold of this leaked internal document showcasing T-Mobile’s product line-up. Unfortunately, apart from the black, white, and merlot color options, we still don’t know when it will be released and how much it will cost.

Anyway, we’re still keeping our fingers crossed and hoping that T-Mobile will release the myTouch 3G next month so that it’ll make for a great showdown with the new iPhone from Apple. If not for anything else, we at least now know that the T-Mobile myTouch 3G, HTC Magic, G2 all refer to the same phone.

I have been with T-Mobile for a 4 or 5 years now and although I enjoy their coverage area the problem I have with them is their G3 network or the lacking there of. I like my blackberry but I think I might go with a Iphone type phone because all of its great functions.

Just keep in mind that if you are currently not thrilled with the speed of your carrier, switching to a device the will place even more demand on the need for speed may only increase your frustration. Blackberrys rock, but they work best on a competent network.
Just a thought. Good luck.

I got a T-Mobile Wing (HTC) from a guy off of Craigslist who upgraded to the G1. (I’m a Mac, my phone is a PS) My Wing recently started freezing up on me every time I use it and I don’t want to change phone
carriers. A friend of mine owns a Samsung HTC phone from another carrier and likes the customizable features on it which are similar to Android. I just pre-ordered the myTouch 3G today. Looking for more

Take care.
