Yesterday, a sold out DJ Tiësto concert was broadcast live to mobile phones from the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. Fans with GPRS handsets and RealPlayer installed could watch the live performance.
The concert, which also marked the release of Tiësto’s latest album ‘Just Be’, is the first concert in Europe to be entirely broadcasted live to cellular phones. It was seen at low bandwidth (16 kbps video, 6 kbps sound) over KPN, Vodafone Live, Orange, T-Mobile and Telfort networks.
