If you’re one of the 1 million T-Mobile G1 users out there, you’ll be happy to know that the Android 1.5 Cupcake update could be released as early as next month.
No specific date was mentioned, but T-Mobile Germany has gone on the record mentioning that an update will be released in May. It doesn’t exactly say that it’s the Android 1.5 update, but with on-screen keyboard, Bluetooth A2DP, and video recording/ playback as its highlighted improvements, it’s definitely none other than cupcake firmware update everybody’s been waiting for.
Unfortunately, T-Mobile USA hasn’t released any similar announcements just yet. Nonetheless, there shouldn’t be any reason why they wouldn’t follow suite once Android 1.5 is finally released in Germany.
