With the eventual release of the Palm Pre and its new webOS platform, we can now bid farewell to the Palm OS, but until that happens, Palm fan boys still have the option of getting either a Windows Mobile-based phone or a Palm OS running device.
If you’re more of the latter, you might be interested to know that Palm is now offering unlocked Palm Centro units for just $199.99. Apart from the Glacier White iteration, you can now also get the Palm Centro in Ruby Red and Cobalt Blue.
The Palm Centro is stil, of course, a far cry from the Palm Pre, but with a tempting price of a little under $200, this unlocked compact QWERTY-equipped GSM smartphone is very nice alternative especially for those on a tight budget.
