Samsung has pretty much been the leader as far as dual-SIM phones are concerned, but National Geographic is trying their hand at this segment of the market as well with their new Duet D888. The Duet D888 comes with 2.8-inch display, 2-megapixel camera with video recording capabilities, Bluetooth, FM radio, tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz), and Mobile TV. It’s available from Cellular Abroad for $149 and comes with a free Talk Abroad international SIM card that works in 200 countries with unlimited free incoming calls in over 60 countries. Likewise, they’re also touting the Duet D888 as the only dual-SIM handset with FCC approval for the US market.
We definitely can’t consider the Duet D888 as a powerhouse with its mediocre feature-set, but it seems to be well-equipped for the avid global trekker, and it’s priced reasonably to make it a decent, if not the only option for US residents in need of a dual-SIM phone.
