German Gadget Guy Frank Köhntopp has a beef with Nokia and their 6230. He says the phone’s series 40 platform won’t allow him to connect to his PC via Bluetooth, the address book doesn’t allow one to sort by last name or first name and the build quality is sketchy.
His final words to Nokia:
“Nokia, if you don’t have the staff to implement Java and Bluetooth properly: go and get some new (or additional) developers – there are plenty of good ones out there. Don’t let your reputation be ruined by stuff that is known to be working for years.”
He’s right. You don’t have to go very far to hear people complain about the 6230. Nokia has to get it right with their series 40 stuff. My guess is they won’t disappoint.
